Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Structural Components

TSOLN utilizes a Safety Management System is designed to enhance worker’s safety through policy development, education, strategic implementation and cultural practices.

Our HSE program is designed to incorporate regulatory compliance into operations and equipment.  Each of these policies is designed to not only meet the requirements of the operational regions but also bridge Human Resources into HSE, thus creating a more dynamic approach to injury prevention, hazard mitigation, case management and employee communications.

Each Operational Region has a Health, Safety and Environmental Representatives who deliver on-site consultations, training and safety equipment procurement.  Our Safety Representatives operate fluidly by attending contractor safety meetings, pre-start up commissioning and rig down briefings to better incorporate our customers’ expectations into our existing policies and bridge gaps that may be created by separate enforcement agencies. Each Representative is an OSHA General Industry authorized trainer to conduct 10- and 30-hour authorized training as well as an IADC RigPass approved Instructor. This allows TSOLN the unique opportunity to comply with OSHA regulations and Oil & Gas customer requirements.

The HSE Structure allows each region to accommodate our customer needs and communicate openly through a corporate safety manager.  Key Performance Indicators are tracked through communications with ISNet World, PEC Premier and PICS.  Our fleet is held to the standards of the Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

TSOLN employees go through initial HSE Training to accommodate national standards as well as company directives.  This initial training covers requirements from OSHA, DOT, USCG and International Medic First Aid.  Upon completion our employees receive credentials such as SafeGulf/SafeLand which may be validated through the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC).

In addition to initial training, Managers and Supervisors are required to complete additional training in behavioral based safety, root cause analysis, drug/alcohol recognition.
